Aim

To develop in students current professional knowledge and analytical skills in journalism and in applying intercultural, political and international relations concepts, and communication skills in English and a foreign language.

Content & Structure

Students obtain two degrees in four years of fulltime study in this double degree program. The program prepares students for professional practice in Journalism while at the same time providing a deepening international awareness. Graduates will be equipped to practice as journalists in international and culturally diverse contexts.

The program is made up of 9 units of Common Core courses (2 courses), an extended 54 unit professional major in Journalism (11 courses), a 36 unit professional major in International Relations (8 courses), 18 units of foreign language studies (4 courses), 18 units of World Politics electives (4 courses) or an international exchange half year, a 4.5 unit Free Elective and a 4.5 unit Indigenous Studies course.
