Course aim

To critically examine key aspects of the impact and challenges of globalisation and regional interdependence, including economic growth, sustainability issues and continuing poverty and inequality.

Course content

Introduction to Globalisation & Regionalism; Historical East and West conquest; Postwar global economic systems; Forces of Globalisation and their impact; Asia’s regional integration; Globalisation and technology: transport & communication; Women, peace & security: Global insecurities; Globalisation, development and sustainability.
