  • architect: combine creative design with technical knowledge to create sustainable solutions for the built environment
  • construction manager: plan, organise, direct and coordinate the construction of building projects
  • heritage consultation: develop sustainable practices in design to protect and maintain heritage sites
  • project manager: involves initiating, planning, executing and controlling a team and their outcomes
  • interior designer: design, management and  implementation of interior spaces
  • furniture designer: develop design concepts, experiment with different materials, liaise with clients and build sample models for either mass produced furniture prototypes or one-off exclusive pieces
  • urban designer: design on an urban scale; may also participate in educating civic leaders and the public about project details
  • design consultant: assist clients to utilise living space by arranging furniture, lighting and other fixtures; you may also create design plans and select colour schemes and styles

Please note: The Master of Architecture is an accredited Australian architecture qualification and provides a pathway to future registration as an architect. Only those practitioners registered with architectural registration boards, including the Architectural Practice Board of South Australia, are entitled to use the title ‘architect’ by law. Graduates of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies may apply for entry into the Master of Architecture. The highlight of my studies was a study tour to Italy and Denmark. It was an incredible experience, not only in terms of the sights and places, but in the friendships forged between the group.

Studying at UniSA has been a good experience and the City West Campus is going through a renovation at the moment, which is very inspiring for an interior architecture student.
