Contemporary international political economy debate; liberal, neo-liberal, Marxist, and neo-Marxist perspectives on international political economy; feminisation of the labor force in the context of trade liberalisation and labor market deregulation; economic role of government: public choice and externalities; geo-politics and geo-economics; politics of international trade and development; bilateral and multilateral official development assistance (ODA); international institutions and regional organisations in international economic relations; multinational corporations (MNCs) and foreign direct investments (FDI); non-government organisations (NGOs) in international development; issues of governance in global political economy.
