Course aim

To give students insights into the underlying principles and concepts of entrepreneurship, and its practical role in creating enterprises, whether in the for-profit sector or in the field of social entrepreneurship.

Course content

Ideas and opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation; generating and screening new venture ideas in social and commercial contexts; product or service positioning and targeting; target market selection and evaluation; assessing entrepreneurial risk; the entrepreneurial process; organising the range of resources needed to create a new venture; ethical considerations; developing a practical feasibility study for a new venture idea.
