Course aim

This course introduces students to a broad range of strategy concepts, tools and frameworks, providing them with the opportunity to explore their application in a diverse variety of competitive situations. The overall purpose of this course is to provide students with a practical understanding of how firms develop and execute strategy to create and sustain competitive advantage.

Course content

Introduction to strategy, strategic management models and concepts, strategic external analysis; competitive advantage: sustainability and transferability, business scope, putting strategy into action, strategy in diversified firms and not-for-profits.
