Youth Opportunities

Youth Opportunities strive to create a world where all young people have opportunities to do their very best. To achieve this, they have developed a variety of wellbeing, enterprise and personal leadership programs. These programs are delivered to young people to help them reach their full potential, by breaking down barriers and building resilience.

Project 1

This is an exciting opportunity for a student to work under the direction of the Chief Executive and with the support of the Finance Manager and Administration Officer to review existing human resource management practices; investigate best practice and make recommendations for change.

The project will include:

  • Reviewing existing HR policies, procedures, templates and workflows in use at Youth Opportunities
  • Interviewing a selection of managers and staff to gather insights on what's working well and what could be improved
  • Reflecting on contemporary practice through an academic and industry literature search
  • Making and presenting recommendations to management team
  • If time permits, drafting revised and/or new policies, procedures and templates in line with approved recommendations
