SportsUnited encourages people to get involved in physical activity in a fun, engaging and non-competitive way at no cost and focuses strongly on social inclusion and capacity building within communities.

SportsUnited are seeking a team of students to be involved in various aspects related to both the establishment of training programs for the organisation, as well as assisting with the implementation of programs: Supporting Success and Sporting Memories online.

Students are sought to assist with two programs:

  • Supporting Success: Students will be required to assist in the development and evaluation of Autism training modules.
  • Supporting Memories online: Students will be required to assist in the development of documents and resources, as well as running the online zoom sessions

Skills/abilities required of student:

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of key issues in program/project/event management
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, staff, volunteers and participants

Additional student requirements:

In addition to the training requirements for Community Service Learning Project, students wishing to undertake a project at Sports United will be required to have the following checks and training:

  • DHS Working with Children check
  • Responding to Abuse and Neglect (RAN) training
  • A valid drivers licence as well as access to a motor vehicle as some travel will be required (mainly around metro Adelaide)
