Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) is a mentoring program where UniSA students mentor Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school students.

AIME is a national program that was adopted by the University of South Australia in 2013 as part of its commitment to Reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians.

Homework Tutor Squads

Community Service Learning students are sought to assist with the promotion of AIME, work with young Aboriginal scholars on campus and in Homework Tutor squads across metropolitan Adelaide. 

You will be required to:

  • Assist with the promotion of AIME.
  • Attend mentor training.
  • Participate in Homework Clubs as a mentor
  • Develop a working relationship with your mentee (s) which will encourage them to consider university as a study option.

The AIME projects suit students from all disciplines.

In addition to the training and clearance requirements for Community Service Learning Project, students wishing to undertake this project may be required to have the following checks and training:

  • Responding to Abuse and Neglect (RAN) Training
