UniSA students can find placements opportunities at Paralowie R-12 School with the Community Service Learning Project.

Tutoring at Paralowie R-12 School

Paralowie R-12 School has around 1500 students, including over 130 Aboriginal students. Tutors will be required to support Aboriginal students with their school work and will be working in small groups of one to three students, mainly with students in years 7 to 10.

We require tutors who:

  • can work well as a team
  • have experience working with children
  • are approachable, understanding and flexible in nature

Tutors are not expected to have strong content knowledge of the curriculum but will support students to understand their work and assist them with tasks that have been set by the classroom teacher. All tutoring will be supervised by a teacher. It's an opportunity that might be challenging, but one that will be highly rewarding!

A Department of Human Services (DHS) Screening and Responding to Abuse and Neglect (RAN) training are mandatory, prior to tuition commencing.
