The South Australian Institute of Business and Technology (SAIBT) and the University of South Australia enjoy a strong partnership that spans more than 18 years and has produced more than 6,000 successful graduates.
As a pathway provider to UniSA, SAIBT provides Diploma programs in the areas of Business, Arts, IT, Engineering and Health Sciences. SAIBT Diploma programs are equivalent to first year Bachelor programs at UniSA and are recognised by many other well-known universities throughout Australia. SAIBT’s diploma programs provide direct entry with credit into a wide range of degree programs and are an ideal alternative means of entry for students who are otherwise ineligible to enter university.
Located in Adelaide on UniSA’s main City East campus, SAIBT students have access to University facilities and study in a vibrant and diverse learning environment with small classes and personalised teaching. Its programs provide a proven pathway to more than 90 degrees at the university (subject to GPA). Programs commence in February, June and October each year.
Students can commence at SAIBT after year 11 or year 12, with a low or no ATAR result. After the SAIBT Diploma, students can apply to UniSA via SATAC. Specialised U18 accommodation options are available through the SAIBT Accommodation Office. Internships with Adelaide based organisations are also available for SAIBT Diploma students.

SAIBT is an excellent starting place when entering university as they teach you the necessary information that will prepare you and push you in the right direction. I’ve found SAIBT to be really helpful, giving me the opportunity to complete the first year of my degree in a diploma and enter straight into second year my Health Science degree.
