Aim

The Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of International Relations qualifies individuals who are equipped with the intellectual ethical and professional knowledge including a skilful analysis of politics and international relations to undertake professional social work in a range of contexts with a particular emphasis on culturally diverse global contexts.

Content & Structure

Graduates of the Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of International Relations degree will have a broad and coherent body of knowledge in the political, behavioural and social sciences, with depth in the underlying principles and concepts of social work, social policy and international relations and be able to function as reflexive practitioners within the global human service context.

The students will complete 180 units of study comprising 23 courses from the accredited Bachelor of Social Work program and 12 courses from the Bachelor of International Relations program, plus a free elective.
