Aim

The program prepares students for careers in a wide range of resource management agencies and industries and equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to take a leadership role and responsibility in those organisations.

Content & Structure

The Masters program (Urban Ecology) requires the completion of 54 units of courses. Students can complete either:
a. four core courses (18 units), Environment Research Project 1 and Environmental Research Project 2 (18 units), and four Urban Ecology electives (18.5 units) OR
b. four core courses (18 units), four Urban Ecology electives (18 units) and four elective courses (18 units) from either the Natural Resource Management, Water Management or Geospatial Science streams.

The Masters program requires the completion of 54 units of courses selected from one of the streams, Natural Resource Management, Geospatial Science, Water Management or Urban Ecology. The program comprises of 4 core courses (18 units) and 4 elective stream courses (18 units) plus Environment Research Projects 1 & 2, or the program of study may consist of 4 core courses (18 units) and 8 elective stream courses (36 units).
