Course aim

To provide students with an innovative virtual approach to learning that incorporates real world experiential learning and develops students' understanding of the relationship between society, business, government and the not-for-profit sector. It also aims to enable students to identify a range of professional capabilities necessary for participation in a sustainable society.

Course content

This course will be conducted intensively as a virtual study tour in a host country or in Australia, supported by preparatory and post-completion seminars. The course will provide an opportunity for students to gain a first-hand virtual perspective on the issues and challenges faced by firms and professionals operating in a global business environment. Areas of coverage will differ in each course offering, however key areas can include: historical and socio-cultural influences on business, regulatory and legal considerations, trade related matters, ethical action and sustainability as well as strategic business issues. Students will participate in an interactive preparatory seminar prior to the virtual study tour commencing to ensure appropriate cultural preparation, and attend a post-completion seminar after the study tour.

NOTE: A small incidental fee applies for the study tour component of this course in addition to the standard tuition fee.
