The course aims to equip students with basic knowledge of how the law affects business decision making and operations. It does so by examining a number of fundamental legal principles that impinge upon key business areas such as establishing a business, entering into transactions, and protecting business assets. It also considers the relationship between business and regulators.

3. Legal forms of doing business
4. Acquiring and managing business property including premises, equipment and intellectual property
5. Employing staff
6. Entering into and enforcing commercial transactions
7. Dealing with consumers including negligence and product liability.
