To promote the development of professional approaches to the management of learning environments and learner behaviour and to critically evaluate relationships between effective management approaches and the teaching and learning process to promote productive learner behaviours.
Students as pre-service teachers will develop an understanding of research and theory that informs the development of engaging environments that support both academic and social-emotional learning. The students as pre-service teachers will develop principles to guide decisions and actions in selecting approaches to promote learner engagement, participation and wellbeing and approaches to handling unproductive learner behaviour; and managing learning environments.
