To develop an awareness and understanding of the types of disabilities found in Junior Primary/Primary and special settings and the impact of these disabilities.
Students will undertake study in nature of disability; identification and diagnosis, early intervention, negotiated Education Plans, Special Education provisions, physical/sensory/health/learning disabilities, instructional/curriculum modifications, school and community support services, parent education and support and current issues in Special Education.
