Rural and remote placements are available in most states. A rural, country or remote placement offers you the opportunity to experience cultural diversity as you work towards improving the health and wellbeing of groups with different needs.
Nursing and midwifery students please note: you will be allocated to at least one rural placement during your program.
Undertaking a rural placement enables you to gain a wide range of experience in different settings, work in all areas of health as part of a team, and become a key member of the local health team - making an important difference in how essential health services are provided in the community.
Rural, country or remote placements are a great opportunity for you to embark on an academic journey of personal growth and development to fulfil future career ambitions.
