Placements outside South Australia are difficult to source, due to the high demand from local education providers. As a result, students should be prepared to undertake their placement in South Australia. If you are completing a placement outside of South Australia, there are pre-placement requirements that need to be completed and presented to the CPU prior to your placement. 

Nursing students studying from outside of South Australia please note: clinical placements are allocated by state or territory placement organisations firstly to students studying at universities located in that state or territory. Therefore, due to only small numbers of interstate placements being available and in high demand, please be aware that the majority, and possibly all, of your placements will need to be in South Australia.

Midwifery students please note: placements and client follow-throughs will all be based in South Australia. Because of this, students will need to reside in South Australia to complete the clinical aspects of the program.
