Interested in Podiatry?

Study at the No.1 university in South Australia for graduate careers in health.1

Did you know the word Podiatrist is composed of two ancient Greek parts: pod, meaning "foot," and iatrist, meaning "healer"? As modern-day healers of feet, successful Podiatrists possess excellent motor skills for treatment and communication skills for patient care.

These skills are emphasised in the only podiatry degree offered in South Australia, and one of the leading programs in the country.  With UniSA, you’ll graduate ready to confidently diagnose and treat disorders of the foot and lower limb.

Healthy feet are an important part of the body’s holistic health, and many of us at some point in our lives will experience foot problems. In the Bachelor of Podiatry, there’s a major focus on practical skills for keeping feet healthy every day, as well the ability to diagnose and manage illness and disability. You’ll have the opportunity to hone your skills through practical placements across a vast range of industry organisations.

Take your unstoppable career further with postgraduate studies in a Master of Research (Health Sciences) or a Master of Health Services Management to step up into leadership and management positions across the diverse health and ageing sectors.

What others are saying

I was interested in the sports and anatomy areas of health, but also skins and diseases. I have done placements in Broken Hill, and Whyalla, the rural placements were really enjoyable as they allowed me to see a different range of clinical cases that I may not get to see in metropolitan areas.
