Your journey to study with the University of South Australia starts now - applications for 2021 are open! Applications are made via the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC). Visit the SATAC website to find all the information you need to know about the application and selection process. It's not too late to apply to start your studies in 2021. Check out the degrees you can still apply for on our Degrees Still Open webpage.

If you are unsure where to begin and you're an Australian student, you may be interested in completing a MyCareerMatch profile. MyCareerMatch is an online tool that specialises in career profiles. The quiz will provide you with a personalised career report giving you information about your personality style and a list of career options, which are complementary to your natural strengths and talents. With up to six preferences available on your application, make sure you have your preferences in the order of what you would like to be offered, with the degree you most want to study first. Consider adding other pathways to your application such as Foundation Studies or a Diploma program through our UniSA College. Make sure you check to see if you are eligible for Guaranteed Entry.

The main January offer round will be on Friday 15 January 2021. This offer round will consider all UniSA degrees and preferences. Offers will be emailed by 9.00am. If you don’t receive an offer, there will be smaller offer rounds made after the main January offer round.
If you have completed results (from TAFE or RTO study, university study or the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)) and you have paid your SATAC application fees, you may receive an early offer for entry into semester one (SP2) 2021. Early offer rounds only consider the first preference on your application, with all preferences considered in the main January offer round. Not all degrees will make offers in early offer rounds, so there is no need to worry if you don’t receive an offer in one of these rounds. Early offers are made on:
You will receive your offer via an email from SATAC. Read this email carefully for important information about responding to your offer and what you need to do to prepare yourself for the next steps in your university journey.
If you receive an offer to your first preference you do not need to respond as SATAC will accept this on your behalf. If you receive an offer that was not your first preference, you will need to log on to the SATAC website and respond to your offer by the lapse date shown on your offer email.
Applications are also open for midyear study for many UniSA degrees. Offers to start your studies midyear are generally made between April and early August. Speak with one of our friendly Future Students Enquiries team for more information on the degrees available to commence midyear.

Applications to most postgraduate degrees are made online via SATAC (the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre). However, for some of our postgraduate degrees you will need to apply directly to UniSA. The application process for UniSA Online degrees is direct through our online eligibility and application form. Four start dates are offered throughout the year so you can apply as soon as you’re ready. Just follow these simple steps:
Take UniSA Online's eligibility checker and answer a few short questions to see if you're eligible. You'll be given an option to request a call back, continue your application or save it for later.
If you're eligible, you'll receive an email outlining the entry requirements and the relevant documentation you need in order to be considered.
In order to proceed with your conditional offer, you’ll need to complete your application and provide required evidence of your previous study or work experience.

Make sure you are aware of entry requirements for the University as well as individual program requirements.
Undergraduate – you must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 program or an equivalent program in your home country or a recognised Pathway or Foundation Studies Program. If you are an international student studying Year 12 in Australia you need to apply via the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).
Postgraduate – At a minimum you must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree, to the required standard, from a recognised higher institution in Australian or the international equivalent and/or the equivalent professional work experience. The University offers both coursework and research degrees.
Depending on your country of citizenship, you may be required to apply through a registered UniSA education agent unless you are already onshore in Australia. View the full list of countries by citizenship here.

There is no closing date for submitting your application. Application outcomes will be advised within one to two weeks from the date we receive your application and all required supporting documentation. If you require a student visa, you will need to allow additional time to apply for a student visa.
