Digital Media



Major, Minor, Sub-Major


Students will develop the technical and conceptual skills and capabilities for a career in the creative media industries. All industries increasingly are relying on communication through digital channels and a variety of careers have emerged as videographers and creative content producers. These positions call for applicants to be skilled in the areas of print, web and video production. This Major will prepare students to be agile, multi-skilled and able to communicate effectively through all three areas.

  1. MBCD Bachelor of Communication and Media, and DBMN Bachelor of Marketing and Communication students should enrol in COMM 1078 Introduction to Screen Sound.
  2. Students intending to apply for the Master of Teaching (Secondary) must complete a minimum of six courses or equivalent for a Major Learning Area, or four courses or equivalent for a Minor Learning Area. Applicants for the Master of Teaching (Secondary) must have both a Major and a Minor Learning Area to qualify for entry. Students should consult with their Program Director for a schedule of recommended courses.
