Aim

To provide Registered Nurses with a postgraduate qualification in Nursing and prepare them to work in a diversity of fields by extending their knowledge and professional expertise.

Content & Structure

The program requires completion of 18 units and may be taken either on a full-time or part-time basis. Students select any two of the available 9.0-unit courses.
 
Courses available integrate the knowledge related to teaching and learning strategies, inquiry based learning, principles and theories of educational assessment and their application to health professional education, theories of leadership and management and their application to nursing and health services, structures and processes influencing ageing in contemporary society and individual counselling skills and strategies and global issues, trends and practices impacting on the delivery of nursing and health services.
