Entry requirements
Applicants are required to hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.English language entry requirements
The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) requires all nurses on initial registration with the NMBA to demonstrate English language skills to be suitable for registration. Applicants wishing to enter the Graduate Certificate of Nursing are not required to undertake an additional English language skills assessment to enter this program. Aim
To provide Registered Nurses with qualifications in the professional field of Health and Ageing, and to develop specific knowledge and skills, and extend their professional expertise.
Content & Structure
The program, taken over one year of part-time study, requires completion of 18 units of study in the specialty area of Health and Ageing. Courses in Health and Ageing have been specifically designed to extend knowledge and skills in caring for older people in a range of settings.
