To this end, the program is designed to enable graduates to acquire skills, knowledge and attitudes that will assist them to work and develop as productive and socially responsible managers. The program structure provides some flexibility by allowing students to select a minor or electives from finance, commerce and communication courses.
Content & Structure
The Bachelor of Management (Marketing) requires completion of courses totalling 108 units, the courses being listed in the program schedule.
1. The program comprises: a Division Core of eight courses (including MARK 1010 Marketing Principles: Trading and Exchange); a sequence of nine courses specific to the program; and seven elective courses.
Notes
1. All Division Core courses will be offered in both the first and second half of the year.
2. Students may use the electives to complete either: a four course minor and three other courses; or a group of seven courses which do not comprise a major or minor. Students intending to take a minor in another discipline may include an elective in their first year as the first course in that minor stream (in place of one of the first year courses shown in the program schedule). Course selection and scheduling should take prerequisites into account.
3. Minors must be selected from the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Applied Finance program courses offered at Taylors University. Students may also select a minor from Communication courses offered by the School of Communication at Taylors University as detailed in the Elective Table.
