A completed Bachelor degree in a related discipline from at a recognised higher education institution or equivalent qualification; OR
A completed Graduate Certificate in a related discipline from a recognised higher education institution; AND
Applicants should normally hold a degree in any discipline with a credit average or above or equivalent, or should have completed the Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning.
English language entry requirements
In addition, international students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission. Possession of one or more of these qualifications, in addition to the academic entry requirements, does not, in itself, guarantee a place at the University of South Australia. Applications are considered on an individual basis and selection is competitive. Where previous study/work experience was conducted in English, the application must be accompanied by certified documentation from the educational institution/employer certifying that the language of instruction/employment was English.

The program is designed to provide continuing education for graduate students relevant to their specific professional interests.
Content & Structure
The Graduate Diploma requires the completion of appropriate courses totalling 36 units. 18 units (4 courses) must be from core courses and 18 units (4 courses) selected from elective courses listed.
1. Credit will not normally be granted for more than one third of the total units of the program.
2. Individual programs of study to satisfy the overall program requirements of 36 units may be constructed by choice of electives comprising no more than 18 units. Such electives shall be drawn mainly from within existing graduate diploma or graduate certificate programs and shall be approved by the Program Director.
Notes
1. The program is normally available fulltime but may be completed part-time in two or three years.
2. Students will consult the Program Director for their program of study.
