Course aim

To introduce students to the concepts and principles of economic theory as applied to the planning and management of transport systems

Course content

Concepts and principles of transport economic theory. Transport demand and forecasting. Transport costs and cost analysis. Pricing of transport services. Infrastructure pricing and investment. Market structure, regulation and deregulation. Project evaluation.
