To critically engage with principles and practices for designing a language and culture curriculum that is grounded in a sound theory of language teaching, including intercultural language learning.
Students will develop rationale for languages learning in schools, exploring curriculum frameworks for languages education locally, nationally and internationally and applying principles for Intercultural language learning to curriculum design, resource evaluation and lesson planning. Students will develop skills in long term planning for teaching, learning and assessing language learning, and gathering and reflecting on evidence of student learning.
