To further develop students' understandings of teaching science and mathematics using an integrated approach appropriate for learners in the middle years.
Students will understand models of middle schooling and their impact on mathematics and science teaching, integrated approaches to teaching mathematics and science, cross discipline, trans discipline and interdisciplinary approaches. Students will develop critical understanding of how different curriculum documents, eg the Australian Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate, shape the teaching of middle years science and mathematics.
