Course aim

To identify and explore the arts education potential of institutional, community and virtual arts related resources.

Course content

Students will examine closely arts-specific teaching and learning strategies as well as curriculum and pedagogy
relative to the 5 various arts specialisations (visual arts, media arts, drama, music and dance). Students will
extend their knowledge of the Arts curriculum and practice with a special emphasis on issues in "cultural
competency" and pedagogical practices in the teaching of the elements and principles of Arts within primary,
middle and secondary schooling.
