Course aim

This course prepares pre-service educators to plan, resource, teach and evaluate well sequenced mathematics learning experiences and topics as part of a longer term program.

Course content

Practices that support learning mathematics based on play and social constructivist perspectives; concept and language development with a particular focus on Chance, Data Handling, 3 Dimensional Geometry, Number Sense and Rational Number; thinking mathematically; the Australian Curriculum; plan for learning and assessment in the context of Professional Practice 3.
