To engage pre-service educators in play based and social constructivist perspectives of learning in science including interactive approaches to teaching and thinking and working scientifically.
This course engages pre-service educators in play based and social constructivist perspectives of learning; current pedagogies including interactive approaches and the 5Es; thinking and working scientifically, and making links with thinking and working mathematically and educating for sustainably; planning, implementing, evaluating a unit of work in science that connects to the third professional experience; key concepts embedded in the biological, chemical, physical and earth and/or space sciences.
