To develop students’ mastery, relative to their specialisation, in applying research for design practice, design processes, strategies and professional practices to the development of a major supervised design project.
Students will refine skills acquired through previous design studios and integrates closely with aims and objectives of Masters Design Studio 4, via a major supervised design project. Students negotiate an individual study contract in consultation with the relevant Course Coordinator/Program Director. Students will further develop skills in problem identification and scoping, design research, project planning and management in the design and development of appropriate professional outcomes in an applied context. Students will gain further knowledge of risk management processes, ethical conduct, client consultation, forms of simulated presentation.
