Course aim

To develop a theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of both the individual and collective aspects of industrial relations law.

Course content

Historical development of labour law; contract of employment; flexible working arrangements; subcontracting vs employment; role of unions; international standards; resolving industrial disputes; Federal and South Australian systems; recent reforms; dismissal procedures and remedies; EEO, OHS, workers compensation; and comparative and international labour law.
