The admission criteria have been grouped to assist you to easily find the information most relevant to your circumstances. However, you may fit into more than one and the university will consider applicants against each of the relevant criteria.
To be eligible for selection, applicants are required to have:
Completed the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE); and
completed 200 credits of subjects;
achieved a grade of C* or better in the Personal Learning Plan, 20 credits of literacy, 10 credits of numeracy and the Research Project at Stage 2;
achieved a grade C- or better in an additional 60 credits at Stage 2;
obtained a competitive ATAR.
* For Stage 2 subjects a grade of C- or better is required
Completed the equivalent secondary education qualifications as required for University entry under SACE and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, obtaining a minimum score of 24 points and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed or partly completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed at least four Open Universities Australia (OUA) courses at the appropriate level and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed an award from TAFE or from another registered training organisation at AQF Certificate IV or above and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Qualified for Special Entry and fulfilled any prerequisite requirements;
Completed the University Foundation Studies program
* Normally applicants with a grade point average of 4** or better will be recognised for entry.
** A GPA of 4 refers to the UniSA grading scale which has a range of 1 - 7, other Australian and international grading scales will be considered.
This degree provides a professional level of education for potential and current managers and administrators who work in the commercial field. Students build and extend their knowledge by studying a range of business and consumer law courses including at least two elective courses with an international focus.
Content & Structure
Students undertake the division core courses and then a major in Commercial Law. The program requires completion of courses totalling 108 units.
1. This program comprises: a division core of eight courses; a major sequence of seven courses specific to the prorgam; eight elective courses from within the division; and one free elective.
Notes
1. All division core courses will be offered in both the first and second half of the year.
2. Student may use these courses to complete an eight course major in another business or management discipline. Alternatively, the electives may be used to complete any combination of a four course minor and a group of four other courses, or a group of eight courses which do not comprise a major or minor with the approval of the Program Director.
3. Additional Commercial Law courses are available as electives (refer to electives listing)
4. Students can take one "free" elective chosen from any course offered at the University.
