Course aim

To apply the students’ knowledge and skills of quantity surveying practice and estimating principles for infrastructures on commercial construction and civil engineering works.

Course content

Infrastructure for commercial construction and civil engineering works including but not limited to cofferdam, piling, retaining wall, diaphragm wall, caisson, sea wall, tunnel, bridge, road, railway track, pre-stressed and post-tensioning works. Methods of measurement and estimating practice, risk analysis and mitigation. Information technology application for measurement in civil engineering works.
