Foundations of Event Management

Course aim

To serve as a foundation for event studies, provide an understanding of the event industry, and to identify the theoretical underpinnings of event management.

Course content

Event stakeholders; event experience and visitor behaviour; impacts of events; and event strategic planning including event design, financial and human resources management, event operations, legal and risk management and evaluation.
