Environmental Politics

Course aim

This intermediate course leads to developed critical analysis of environmental security and social movements for justice and the environment, particularly in the global South.

Course content

This course includes an analysis of the roles of social, environmental and justice movements, particularly in the less affluent global South. It explores the ocncept of environmental security and the role of political regimes, international financial institutions and transnational corporations in environmental politics in the South, particularly in Asia.
