To reflect on the Professional Placement experience, to further develop skills of integration and application of pharmacotherapeutic knowledge and dispensing techniques for provision of best pharmacy practice, to gain an understanding of emerging practice models and the role of pharmacists in health promotion.
Professional standards of pharmacy practice in practice situations; an introduction to the legal and ethical frameworks of professional practice; further development of the role-specific skills required for contemporary professional pharmacy practice including: primary health care, medication provision and review in community pharmacy; medication management and drug optimisation; clinical pharmacy services; specialised drug information services; emerging practice models; chronic disease management; revision of pharmaceutical calculations; understanding of continuous quality improvement.
