To provide students with an understanding of how politics, business, and community interests interact in shaping property policy and management, leading to innovation and social, political and environmental impact.
Changes to planning, development, building and, management of properties which occur as a result of local and international pressures. These pressures include issues of sustainability and wellbeing, metropolitan and regional development (including intensification of cities and placemaking), infrastructure development (including public-private partnerships), management of water and energy, indigenous property rights, indigenous housing, housing affordability and housing for disadvantaged persons. The course highlights selected content through presentations of these types of change by leading industry professionals from both the government and non-government sectors.
