To introduce students to an intermediate level of development and final production of moderately complex 3D computer animation projects.
The development and production cycle: establishing a working ‘project’ environment; ideas, component creation; the art of 3D animation: timing, movement , key framing, expression controllers; the 3D environment: scale, work flow, workspace, XYZ space; modelling techniques: polygons, N.U.R.B.S. ; texturing techniques: procedural, UV textural options, intermediate hypershader nodes; lighting types and techniques: lights with dramatic impact, volume lights, ambient lights, coloured lights, aiming and positioning; production of computer animation projects.
