This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the complexity in managing human resources within international business and to familiarise students as managers and leaders with the range of strategies available to compete more effectively in today’s rapidly emerging global economy.
This course has been designed to familiarise students with the theoretical and practical human resource issues facing organisations that operate in the global market place. The course will focus on the growing importance of International Human Resource Management, the impact of national culture on HRM, specific issues in recruitment, motivation and retention of international employees, challenges faced in international compensation, complexities of labour relations for the multinational firm and IHRM issues in developing countries.
