To develop an understanding of the role of strategic management of IS/IT within organisations and industries, with a particular focus on evaluating emerging technology and trends and adopting a critical approach to strategic decisions.
An introduction to information systems strategy including: organisational strategy, strategic information systems planning, critical thinking, strategic thinking, creative thinking, processes of strategy formulation, strategic decision making, IT governance, modern planning and management strategies, equity and ethical issues relating to or resulting from IS/IT.
