Demographic trends, complexity of aged population, cultural specificity and ageing; ethnocentrism; policy trends; implication of individual responsibility and the ageing process; demands on family, elderly people as contributors to society; social work interventions for aged care; value of aged care as a practice arena; professional challenges; ethical dilemmas; international trends.
