School of Creative Industries
To develop students’ theoretical and practical understandings of cultural research as it relates to work in the communication and cultural industries.
The course analyses a range of traditional and recent innovative research methods, reflecting upon their epistemological underpinnings and practical applications in order for students to utilise them appropriately in both scholarly and vocational contexts. In doing so students will develop advanced skills in the design and administration of social research and attain an ability to critical evaluate research and communicate it appropriately to a variety of audiences.
