Course aim

To expand competence in the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of psychological research.

Course content

Advanced research design and evaluation; questionnaire design, survey technique and sampling procedures; selection of appropriate statistical tests; ethics of research; cultural issues in research. Multivariate data screening; how to conduct (using SPSS for Windows), interpret and report advanced parametric inferential statistical tests. Reliability, power and effect size; APA style research report writing.
