Applicants are required to have;
- a completed Bachelors degree from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent; and
  two years of relevant work experience (normally employment in the technical areas of an organisation which is responsible for engineering work.), or
- a completed Graduate Diploma in a related discipline from a recognised higher education institution.

Aim

Graduates will have an understanding of engineering systems related work that enables efficient and effective dealing with a broad range of issues normally confronted in engineering work.

Content & Structure

Students are required to complete a total of 54 units of study to be eligible for the degree. The 54 units of study may consist of either 7 courses (31.5 units), Engineering Research Practice (4.5 units) and Engineering Minor Thesis 1 and 2 (18 units), or 12 courses (54 units).

Rules

1. Students may substitute a course in the list above for another course, subject to Program Director approval.

2. Student may not include both EEET 5106 Requirements Engineering and EEET 5127 Engineering Needs and Acceptance.

3. Students enrolled in the `No Specialization - no thesis option' may include EEET 5004 Engineering Research Practice in their elective courses in addition to the courses listed as elective courses.

Notes

1. This course requires attendance at a block delivery class, or through semester face to face classes at Mawson Lakes.

2. Students who cannot attend a block mode course must arrange studies in lieu with the Program Director.

3. Students should enrol in the course EEET 5004 Engineering Research Practice in the Study Period prior to enrolling in ENGG 5008 Systems Engineering Minor Thesis 1.
