Entry requirements
Applicants are required to:
- hold a Bachelor degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution; OR
- have completed hospital based training as a Registered Nurse.
- hold a Current Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; AND
- have completed a minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

Aim
The program provides Registered Nurses with qualifications that advance their knowledge and understanding of management roles in the health care system and develops skills in leadership, management, policy formulation and implementation, and continuous quality improvement.
Content & Structure
The program, taken over one year of part-time study, requires completion of 18 units of study in the specialty area of Leadership and Management. Courses enable students to develop in-depth knowledge of contemporary leadership and management theory and practice, and includes opportunities to apply that knowledge to explore health services management.
