Aim

The Graduate Certificate in Applied Ethics will provide the theoretical and practical basis for students to understand and analyse key ethical concepts and their application to contemporary ethical issues in professional, political and personal contexts.

Content & Structure

The program requires the completion of 18 units, made up of 1 x 9 unit core course plus 9 units of elective courses.

This is a University of South Australia award and studies at the University of Adelaide and Flinders University will be undertaken on a cross-institutional basis. The program is coordinated by the Ethics Centre of South Australia.

Study at the new Adelaide University in 2026

The University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia are combining their strengths to create a new university for the future, Adelaide University, opening in January 2026.
