Entry requirements
Entrants to the program shall normally hold:
- A successfully completed bachelors degree from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent*; or
- A Graduate Diploma in Management with a grade point average of at least 4** from the University of South Australia or an equivalent qualification from another recognised university.
* Normally applicants with a grade point avereage of 4** or better will be recognised for entry.
** A GPA of 4 refers to the UniSA grading scale which has a range of 1 - 7, other Australian and international grading scales will be considered.
English language entry requirements
In addition, international students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission. Possession of one or more of these qualifications, in addition to the academic entry requirements, does not, in itself, guarantee a place at the University of South Australia. Applications are considered on an individual basis and selection is competitive. Where previous study/work experience was conducted in English, the application must be accompanied by certified documentation from the educational institution/employer certifying that the language of instruction/employment was English.

Aim

The program is designed to provide education for graduates and other students with interest in the area of management. A general management degree can be completed or specialisations are available in the following areas: Administrative Management; Event Management; Integrated Supply Chain Management; Procurement; Innovation & Entrepreneurship; Manufacturing and Tourism Management.

Content & Structure

To qualify for the award students must complete four division core courses, four courses in the area of specialisation and four elective courses for a total of 54 units.

Rules

1. Students who have previously completed courses from the division core can apply for credit.

2. Students who have a background or previous studies in a particular course may substitute a course of equal value and standing with the approval of the Program Director.

Notes

1. Specialisations (choose four courses from the selection to follow): Management; Administrative Management; Event Management; Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Integrated Supply Chain Management; Strategic Procurement and Tourism Management.

2. Students are encouraged to enrol in BUSS 5368 Action Learning Project as one of the electives in the Master of Management.

3. Choose electives from any School of Management postgraduate courses in any other specialisation areas listed above or choose electives from the list of Management elective options below: BUSS 5377 Case Studies in the Workplace; BUSS 5338 Special Topics or from the University website - http://unisanet.unisa.edu.au/courses.

4. A course from another division can be studied only with the permission of the Program Director. Some specialisations may have prescribed electives.

5. Students studying the Integrated Supply Chain Management specialisation may choose electives from the School of Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering with the permission of the Program Director.

6. The program may be taken part time or full time.

7. This is a full fee paying program.
